Frequently Asked Questions
What size wiper blades does a Mercedes-AMG GL63 take?
The GL63 (X166, 2012-2015) takes a 26 inch (650mm) blade on the driver side and a 22 inch (550mm) blade on the passenger side. The same sizes apply to every year of the model.
Does the Mercedes-AMG GL63 have a rear wiper?
Yes, the Mercedes-AMG GL63 is fitted with a rear wiper blade as standard. The rear blade is 12 inches (300mm) and is sold separately from the front pair, and owners should replace all three blades at the same time for consistent visibility.
What wiper connector does the Mercedes-AMG GL63 use?
The GL63 uses a push button connector, where the blade clicks onto the arm and releases with a press of the button. No tools are needed to change the blades.
Which model replaced the Mercedes-AMG GL63?
The GL63 was replaced by the GLS63 from 2016 when the GL-Class was renamed the GLS-Class. The GLS63 X166 takes a 23 inch (575mm) passenger blade, so owners should use the GLS63 size guide for those cars.
How often should I replace Mercedes-AMG GL63 wiper blades?
Mercedes-AMG GL63 wiper blades should generally be replaced every 12 months, or sooner if they streak, smear or chatter. Large SUVs used for towing or touring cover long distances, so the blades may need replacing sooner.
