Frequently Asked Questions
What size wiper blades does a Hyundai Coupe take?
The Hyundai Coupe (1996-2002) takes a 20 inch (500mm) blade on the driver side and a 16 inch (400mm) blade on the passenger side. These sizes apply to every model year in the table above.
Does the Hyundai Coupe have a rear wiper?
Yes, the Hyundai Coupe is fitted with a rear wiper blade. The rear blade is 18 inches (450mm) and can be bought with the front pair or on its own.
What wiper connector does the Hyundai Coupe use?
The Hyundai Coupe uses a J-hook connector on both front wiper arms. The blade adaptor hooks over the curved end of the arm and locks in with a click.
Why is the Hyundai Coupe rear blade longer than the passenger blade?
The Coupe has a wide, sloping rear hatch glass that needs an 18 inch (450mm) blade to clear it. That makes the rear blade longer than the 16 inch (400mm) front passenger blade, which is unusual for a small car.
How often should I replace Hyundai Coupe wiper blades?
Hyundai Coupe wiper blades should be replaced about every 12 months, or as soon as they leave streaks. As these cars are now well over 20 years old, check the arms for corrosion and weak springs when fitting new blades.
