Frequently Asked Questions
What size wiper blades does a Ford Maverick take?
The Ford Maverick (1987-1991) takes an 18 inch (450mm) blade on the driver side and a 19 inch (475mm) blade on the passenger side. These sizes apply across every year of the model.
Does the Ford Maverick have a rear wiper?
Yes, the Ford Maverick is fitted with a rear wiper blade. The rear blade is 12 inches (300mm), and owners should replace all three blades at the same time for consistent visibility.
What wiper connector does the Ford Maverick use?
The Ford Maverick uses a J-hook connector on both front wiper arms. The hook at the end of the arm passes through the blade adaptor and clicks into place, which makes blade changes simple.
Why is the Ford Maverick passenger blade longer than the driver blade?
The Maverick uses an 18 inch (450mm) driver blade and a slightly longer 19 inch (475mm) passenger blade, which is unusual. Owners should fit each blade to the correct side rather than assuming the longer blade goes on the driver side.
How often should I replace Ford Maverick wiper blades?
Ford Maverick wiper blades should be replaced around every 12 months. Many Mavericks are still used off-road, and dust, mud and age-worn arm springs can all shorten blade life on an older four-wheel drive.
