Frequently Asked Questions
What size wiper blades does a Daihatsu Pyzar take?
The Daihatsu Pyzar takes a 20 inch (500mm) wiper blade on the driver side and an 18 inch (450mm) blade on the passenger side. These sizes apply to the full 1997 to 2000 range.
Does the Daihatsu Pyzar have a rear wiper?
Yes, the Daihatsu Pyzar is fitted with a rear wiper blade as standard. The rear blade is 12 inches (300mm) and is sold separately from the front pair. Owners should replace all three blades at the same time for consistent visibility.
What wiper connector does the Daihatsu Pyzar use?
The Daihatsu Pyzar uses a J-hook connector on its front wiper arms. The blade adaptor slides into the curved hook at the end of each arm and clicks into place.
How long is the rear wiper blade on the Daihatsu Pyzar?
The Pyzar uses a 12 inch (300mm) rear blade, which is much shorter than the 20 inch (500mm) and 18 inch (450mm) front blades. Short rear blades still collect plenty of road grime from the back of a people mover, so they should be checked as often as the front pair.
How often should I replace Daihatsu Pyzar wiper blades?
Wiper blades should generally be replaced every 6 to 12 months, or sooner if they streak, chatter or leave smears. As a family people mover, the Pyzar often relies on a clear rear window when reversing, so a worn rear blade should be replaced as promptly as the fronts.
