Frequently Asked Questions
What size wiper blades does a BYD Seal take?
The BYD Seal (2023-2025) takes a 24 inch (600mm) blade on the driver side and an 18 inch (450mm) blade on the passenger side. The same sizes apply to every model year in the table above.
Does the BYD Seal have a rear wiper?
No, the BYD Seal does not have a rear wiper blade. This model is fitted with two front wiper blades only, which can be confirmed in the specifications on the product page.
What wiper connector does the BYD Seal use?
The BYD Seal uses a slim push button connector on both front wiper arms. The blade slides onto the narrow arm end and clicks into place, then releases by pressing the button, so it needs a blade made for the slim push button fitting.
Do the BYD Seal and BYD Atto 3 use the same wiper blades?
No, both take a 24 inch (600mm) driver blade, but the Seal uses an 18 inch (450mm) passenger blade while the Atto 3 uses 17 inches (425mm). The connectors also differ, with the Seal on a slim push button and the Atto 3 on a standard push button, so the blades are not interchangeable.
How often should I replace BYD Seal wiper blades?
BYD Seal wiper blades should generally be replaced every 12 months, or sooner if they streak, smear or chatter. The steeply raked windscreen catches plenty of direct sun, which hardens the rubber faster on cars parked outdoors.
