Frequently Asked Questions
What size wiper blades does a BMW 6 Series take?
The E63 Coupe takes a 24 inch (600mm) driver blade and a 23 inch (575mm) passenger blade, and the E64 Convertible takes a 24 inch (600mm) and 22 inch (550mm) pair. The F13 Coupe takes a 26 inch (650mm) and 17 inch (425mm) pair, while the F06 Sedan and F12 Convertible take a 26 inch (650mm) and 18 inch (450mm) pair.
Does the BMW 6 Series have a rear wiper?
No, the BMW 6 Series does not have a rear wiper blade. Every Coupe, Convertible and Sedan listed is fitted with two front wiper blades only, which can be confirmed in the specifications on the product page.
What wiper connector does the BMW 6 Series use?
The E63 Coupe and E64 Convertible use a top lock connector, where the end of the arm slots into the top of the blade adaptor and locks in place. The F13, F06 and F12 use a side lock connector, which attaches to the side of the arm and is held by a clip.
Do the BMW 6 Series Coupe and Convertible take the same passenger blade?
No, the passenger blade differs between body styles in both generations. The E63 Coupe takes a 23 inch (575mm) passenger blade against 22 inches (550mm) on the E64 Convertible, and the F13 Coupe takes a 17 inch (425mm) passenger blade against 18 inches (450mm) on the F12 Convertible and F06 Sedan.
How often should I replace BMW 6 Series wiper blades?
BMW 6 Series wiper blades should generally be replaced every 12 months, or sooner if they streak, smear or chatter. Convertibles that spend time parked with the roof down expose the blades to more sun and dust, so the rubber edge may need replacing sooner.
